We now live in a serious time, where positive action is necessary for our resiliency. Although we have a lot of work to do, we can become empowered to better the world, our communities and ourselves one step at a time.

If we are going to combat the system that got us into this mess in the first place, it’s going to mean that our generation needs to become the strongest versions of ourselves and go into battle. It’s time we create innovative solutions to educate, feed, and house ourselves that don’t rely on the government .

Before you can change the world you have to change yourself. What if we made a change in ourselves before hoping to change the world? What if we made sure our hearts, minds, and everything else was in the right place before doing good? Are we asking for people to be more loving, kind, and generous even though we haven't been loving, kind, or generous ourselves?

This goes along with the quote by Ghandi that says "Be the change that you want to see in the world." The next time you go off to change the world make sure to reflect on who you are inside and out.

Each and every day, we’re inundated with stories about how the world is going to hell. War, poverty, pollution… all manner of atrocities are flung at us from all directions, and it’s enough to draw even the most lighthearted person into a pit of despair.

Fortunately, a great way to counteract all that ugly is to be the change we want to see. None of us can change the entire world all by ourselves, but by making small amendments in our own lives and encouraging others to do the same, a snowball effect occurs that can affect the entire planet in time.
